The M&A analyst position is a two year program in the Corporate Development, Mergers and Acquisitions Group (CDMA). CDMA is responsible for the execution of all strategic transactions globally including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, minority investments and strategic reinsurance transactions. The M&A analyst will be an integral part of the deal team and will support all parts of the transaction evaluation process, including due diligence, valuation and internal transaction approval. This position provides significant exposure to senior management and executives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Build financial models and analyses to evaluate transactions and other strategic financial decisions

+ Research the financial services / insurance market, enhancing the teams knowledge of the evolving competitive landscape and dynamics

+ Monitor media for potential M&A opportunities and prepare research packages on acquisition candidates

+ Assist in the management of the due diligence process

+ Prepare memorandums and presentations for internal transaction approval processes

+ Contribute to the development of information memorandums for potential buyers of a business

+ Develop and maintain standardized processes for buy-side and sell-side engagements

**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**

+ Strong analytical skills

+ Organized, thorough, and detail oriented

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

+ Strong undergraduate academic performance, ideally with a degree in finance, economics or business administration

+ Foundational knowledge of corporate finance

+ Excellent technical skills with advanced use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
