**Job Description:**







Master Production Scheduler







**Position Overview**







This is a master scheduling position for healthcare diagnostic finished goods in a make to stock environment. The packaged finished products contain reagents (chemicals) that are used in human diagnostics testing. We use SAP as our ERP system. The Master Scheduler interacts with the entire supply chain and manufacturing organizations, including R&D personnel. This position is responsible for scheduling approximately 200 finished goods products, 2400 orders per year. This is a fast paced environment requiring constant monitoring to meet our customers requirements. It also requires daily interaction withManufacturing and Production Planners. The Master Scheduler leads daily/weekly production meetings and provides input in determining critical resource utilization. The master schedulingrole does not have any direct reports and reports to the Sr. Production Planning Manager.







**Responsibilities**







+ Develop the master production schedule based on net requirements (customer requirements), area capacity, and constraints, in a make to stock environment.



+ Use SAP reporting with Excel spreadsheet manipulation



+ Lead weekly production scheduling meetings and supply chain meetings.



+ Develop monthly Pre S&OP (Sales and Operations) presentation, using Excel and Power Point.



+ Work closely with Demand Planners in planning and managing product phase-in, phase-out, and other product life cycle phase transitioning.



+ Provide leadership in developing compressed production cycles to expedite the shipment of finished goods to the distribution center.



+ Establish finished goods batch sizes, taking into consideration production complexity, lead time, lower level component constraints, and inventory value.



+ Work closely with Production Planners to execute the production plan and to develop alternate schedule if there are issues with lower level components.



+ Day to day identification and resolution or communication/escalation of supply issues.







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







+ BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalentcombination of education and experience.



+ APICS CPIM or CSCP certification required.



+ 5 8 years of successful master scheduling experience.



+ Moderate to Advanced MS Excel skill level including pivot tables, formulas, charts, linking spreadsheets.



+ Proficient in MS WORD and Power Point



+ Ability to lead cross-functional teams



+ Strong math skills



+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills



+ Ability to handle pressure and manage tight deadlines



+ Must be able to work independently and also in a team environment



+ Must be process and detailed oriented



+ Strong analytical skills and decision making



+ Experience with SAP production planning or similar ERP system.



+ Travel not required







**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







+ Experience in a batch (lot) managed manufacturing environment



+ Experience with SAP production planning



+ Experience in an FDA regulated business
