**Job Description:**







SCOPE OF POSITION:







As a member of the Energy Management (EM) Division communications Business Partner team, this individual contributor will assist in, and in certain instances independently manage, the various communication channels driving marketing objectives. The Market Communications Specialist will directly report to the Medium Voltage and Systems (MS) Marketing communications manager within the EM Division and will work collaboratively with a US and Global team of employees dedicated to support MS business unit in Marcom, tradeshow, PR, online and social media activities. The individual in this position will be collaboratively driving and executing MSs positioning to convince and gain preference of customers for our value-added performances by actively and timely communicating our competence, know-how, offers and benefits of our products and solutions, achievements as well as companys visions, strategies, principles and business plan. The individual will primarily support MSs Systems and Business Development organizations by assisting in the planning and implementation of effective, integrated business marketing communication initiatives and programs to achieve desired outcomes from designated target groups, such as IOUs, distributors, consulting engineers and end-users.







This position will require up to date knowledge and understanding of the corporate branding guidelines. Good project management skills are essential to ensure timely execution of all deliverables.







ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:







Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.







Prepare communication strategies, based on business and marketing plans, as directed.







Implement and manage various communication channels that help drive marketing objectives as a part of the complete communications program. (Elements can include, but not limited to, tradeshows, advertising, public relations, events, promotions, direct mail, brochures, internet, audio-visual productions, etc.)







Apply relevant governance standards, policies and procedures to, and ensure consistency, quality, and transparency of BU communications.







Develop content to ensure consistency of message in internal and external communications; e.g. internet, intranet, extranet, brochures, advertising, press activities, presentations.







Solid understanding and consistent implementation of corporate brand guidelines. Provide counsel and transparency to the business unit for adherence to corporate style guidelines.







Contribute to and support U.S. messaging, positioning, and communications approach on a project basis.







Research and communicate Business Unit/Segment success stories, projects, products and innovations.







Evaluate effectiveness of communication by conducting surveys, inquiries and other elements of the communication performance management.







Collaborate with PR, Online Communications, Employee and Leadership Communications and the EM Business Partner team on a project basis to achieve the communication objectives of the BU or Segment.







Working with FSS, assist with coordination, execution and follow-up analysis of customer events and trade shows.







Maintain marketing communications budget and provide monthly analysis.







Execute BU specific communication projects as directed.







Help maintain annual marketing intelligence data and NEMA monthly/semi-annual reporting tasks

EDUCATION:







Associates Degree or BA in communications/marketing







Domestic Travel 10%







EXPERIENCE:







2-5 years successfully performing the planning, directing, executing and measurement of communications to internal and external stakeholders







SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:







Strong organization skills.







Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines







Strong customer service orientation.







Solid computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Design Suite







Ability to work under time constraints with multiple projects
