**Job Description:**

Manufacturing Technician

Charlottesville, VA

Position Overview

Entry level manufacturing technician located at Siemens Charlottesville, VA location.

This position executes work instructions to fabricate ceramic parts in the Siemens Charlottesville Manufacturing Plant. The main objective is to create high quality parts compliant with internal and customer specifications while maintaining a safe and lean work environment.

This role is accountable to the production supervisor for accurate execution of the approved work instructions, and for quantities of parts completed per the daily production plan.


- Operates and maintains production machinery according to established procedures.

- Observes and assists with routine manufacturing related studies and processes.

- Gathers and records routine production information; enters data into internal computer systems. Assists with routine repair and retest product and/or manufacturing facilities.

- Assists in resolving routine manufacturing or maintenance related problems affecting daily operations.

- May assist in technical problem solving/troubleshooting support to a manufacturing environment. Assists with troubleshooting for machine operations to determine parameters for improving efficiency in a production environment

- Will be responsible for part produced per shift for assigned work center(s).


- Requirements may include working with hand tools, electronic testing and measurement instruments, moving fixtures and materials up to 50 lbs.

- Requirements may include performing fine finishing, grinding and shaping to ceramic parts.

- Up to 2 years of relevant experience

- This an ECC restricted plant and all applicants must be compliant with Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
