**Job Description:**







Position Overview







Siemens Industry is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for their Richland, Mississippi plant. Manufacturing Engineer is accountable for developing, implementing and continuously improving manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods that will result in zero defects and on time delivery of the Voltage Regulators. This key position is reporting directly to the Country Business Unit Segment Manager in our transformer factory located in Richland, MS, and offers potential for further career development in the global organization.







Responsibilities







- Bring industrial engineering competence into the team as technical support to production.







- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.







- Act as Lean Leader, assess maturity of the factorys processes based on lean manufacturing standards of the company, drive lean initiatives to reduce cost, improve quality and efficiency. Prepares and presents plans, coordinate deployment including training of team members.







- Revise & complete work instructions establishing manufacturing standards.







- Check manufacturability of design, identify types of manufacturing methods to be adopted and processes to be followed.







- Support factory management in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.







Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:







1. Bachelors degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or related engineering field.







2. 5 years working experience in product manufacturing with **low, medium or high voltage** products.







3. Proven track record of driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.







4. Good experience in Lean and Six Sigma principles such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, DMAIC, FMEA, Kanban, Root Cause Analysis.







5. Ability to read technical drawings







6. A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach.







7. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills







8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills







Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience







1. Six-Sigma green belt certified







2. Experience in Voltage Regulator business or similar industries in energy business.
