**Role Value Proposition:**

This role is responsible for the management of the Enterprise Reporting, Budget and Allocations Team, managing the expense close process along with various aspects of the budget and allocation process. The department will provide support for the development and maintenance of financial based metrics that will support and guide business and financial decisions. This will be done through the creation and continued enhancement of unit costs, activity based costing models, expense allocations, and industry benchmarking. Involved in all aspects including data collection, comparison of actual v. planning, and profitability analysis, in addition to other key criterion measuring success.

The position requires a broad understanding of GAAP, Statutory and SEC expense reporting requirements, experience in analyzing, understanding and explaining financial performance. Position requires ability to deal with period end closing processes and procedures, complex accounting transactions, and to understand expenses within the many legal entities comprising the enterprise, and an understanding of the underlying systems and reporting tools supporting Finance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

The key responsibilities include management of Enterprise Expense Reporting, Budget and Allocation.The position requires an understanding of GAAP, SEC and Statutory reporting requirements, the interpretation of results of complex consolidation practices and their financial statement presentation, an understanding of the many legal entities comprising the enterprise and period-ending close processes and procedures.The principal accountabilities of the position are as follows:

+ Full people management responsibilities (including hiring, firing and performance management)

+ Managing the preparation and review of various Enterprise Expense Reports and analyze actual vs forecast expenses to provide final sign-off of expenses.

+ Management of development and maintenance of financial models with multiple inputs from financial systems to calculate expense prorates across legal entities and products.

+ Documents key processes, procedures and metrics.

+ Identify, implement and strengthen internal controls in existing/new processes.

+ Translate senior management vision and develop department vision, strategy, service levels, and business objectives working with the Director and Associates.

+ Communicates vision and strategy to staff.

+ Partner with Functional Teams and other operational areas to coordinate the annual budget process.

+ Lead or Facilitate Enterprise Expense Reporting, Budget and Allocation Meetings, as needed.

+ Leverage emerging technologies to automate reporting functions.

+ Act as the Expense Audit Liaison and assist in maintaining a sound internal control environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) surrounding expense allocations and reporting.

+ Manages teams and may participate as a team member for multiple projects.

+ Prioritizes and allocates resources across project lines.

+ Accountable for management of project expectations/results.

+ Coach team members on challenging the results.

+ Performs other duties as assigned or required.

**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**

+ 7+ years of experience in the Financial Accounting and Reporting roles, with in-depth knowledge of expense accounting, reporting and analysis.

+ BA/BS Accounting or Finance, CPA/MBA is preferred.

+ Very strong analytical skills and ability to provide interpretation and meaning to period to period financial changes and trends.

+ Very strong problem solving, communication, organizational and information technology skills.

+ Ability to handle multiple complex tasks under very aggressive timelines.

+ Ability to effectively lead and manage a competent staff, with diverse backgrounds and experience.

+ Ability to effectively influence professionals across the organization, with diverse backgrounds and experience.

+ Proactive work style.

+ Effective decision-making skills, project management skills, sound judgement and ability to work independently.

+ Experience supervising team of professionals.

+ Ability to build partnerships and collaborate with others.
