**Role Value Proposition:**







The Employee Engagement and Communications Manager is a high profile role responsible for leading and managing internal communications strategies and programs that advance employee engagement at MetLifes Global Technology Campus in Cary, North Carolina. This role supports senior Global Technology & Operations (GTO) leadership and other key stakeholders across the Cary campus to develop engagement strategies that align with business priorities. The ideal candidate will work to ensure employees are kept informed and motivated by communicating compelling and consistent messages through multiple communications platforms.







**Key Responsibilities:**







+ Lead and manage internal employee engagement and communications strategy and execution across Fortune 40 company global technology hub



+ Develop targeted strategy across hub to include 1500+ employees across technology and other functions



+ Develop creative strategies for communicating across a broad range of stakeholders, leading content, channels and campaigns that engage employees



+ Create scalable communications approaches and transfer learning and best practices to other sites globally



+ Partner with the Global Communications team to develop and execute strategic internal communication plans that support objectives and shape desired results



+ Partner with Diversity & Inclusion team to foster diversity in the workplace



+ Support the successful execution of the global rewards and recognition agenda at the Cary global technology hub



+ Collaborate with new site operations team to build and execute an integrated engagement strategy and program for development of new sites



+ Collaborate with executives to draft and refine leadership communications and presentations



+ Provide guidance to campus affinity group leaders and community partners to build campus and community engagement



+ Develop communications strategies to fully leverage multimedia platforms including regular email newsletters, intranet sites, enterprise social networking and digital signage



+ Work independently or in teams to plan and execute projects, engagement campaigns and events



+ Lead and motivate direct report and matrix team members to meet objectives



+ Drive accountability and transparency through effective governance with a disciplined focus on metrics while advancing associate engagement



+ Support Director of Employee Engagement, who leads engagement and communications activities for GTO







**Experience**







+ Bachelors degree in related field such as Marketing or Communications; Masters degree preferred



+ 10+ years of experience as an accomplished professional communicator (e.g., successfully developing and executing communications strategies); 5+ years of relevant experience as a management consultant, strategic consultant or similar role preferred



+ Strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as a comprehensive understanding of strategy, tools and tactics to deliver effective communications



+ Track record of success in developing and executing integrated communications approaches



+ Experience and demonstrated results engaging stakeholders via an enterprise social media platform (e.g., Yammer)



+ Experience managing and developing people



+ Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization



+ Knowledge of the insurance industry and technology preferred
