**Job Description:**







**Lead Service and Customer Technical Support Engineer**







**_Position Overview_**







This position is the Lead Applications and Technical Support Engineer for the SGT-AO5 business. This position supports the new equipment and services business for the 3-6MW power generation and oil and gas sector. The current operating fleet in excess of 1700 global units. Key objectives of the role are as follows:







+ Provide customer technical support of the SGT-A05 fleet



+ Support performance and emissions bids for new equipment opportunities



+ Integrate with core engineering on improving reliability of the fleet



+ Integrate with the global regions as the lead contact for the Product Center of Competence



+ Reports to the Director of Engineering for the Small Engine Business







**Responsibilities**







+ Lead the customer technical support team for the SGT-A05 product line



+ Utilize fleet data to improve reliability and availability for the fleet



+ Ensure timely release of Technical Publications



+ Responsible for release of all technical publications for the fleet, including: Maintenance manuals, Overhaul Manuals, Service Bulletins, Design Manuals



+ Coordinate and perform Unit Health Inspections



+ Provide responses to technical/installation issues to customers



+ Provide technical and commercial support for third party packagers







**Required Skills and Experience**







+ BS Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Electrical)



+ 8 years required within design of gas turbine engines (turbomachinery) or rotating equipment.



+ 5 years of working in Aerospace, Power Generation or Oil/Gas experience



+ Strong written and communications at all levels



+ Ability to provide technical presentations to leadership teams



+ Experience leading technical teams and troubleshooting equipment



+ Ability for domestic and international travel up to 20%







**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







+ Knowledge of the SGT-A05 and Industrial 501-K product line



+ 5+ years experience in Design, Manufacturing, and or Failure Analysis experience



+ Previous experience with gas turbine engine performance and controls



+ Master's Degree in Engineering



+ PMP Certification



+ Industrial experience of 6+ years in power generation or Oil/Gas
