**Job Location:** United States : North Carolina : Cary

**Role Value Proposition:**

This position will focus on the large datasets managed by the Global Data Management Team, including Global Party Management (GPM) and the MetLife Data Hub (MDH) system, as well as other customer centric data. It will:

+ Perform in-depth analysis of large amounts of data to determine content, consistency, and quality as part of the project life cycle and provide insight to LOBs regarding business cases and data quality improvement efforts. This analysis typically includes writing SQL, using data quality tools, and providing reports of various complexity to internal as well as external partners.

+ Provide information and help resolve user problems regarding those systems.

+ Act as Subject Matter Expert of consumable published data assets, with a deep and thorough understanding of relationships that exist among them, their specifications, structure, and attributes.

+ Act as a liaison between the business and IT personnel to support the units technology needs.

+ Represent user areas in all system enhancements and design activities.

+ Review user requests, conducts data gathering interviews, documents business specifications, and manages technology projects until completion.

+ Take projects from original concept through final implementation.

+ Provide a single point of contact for assigned projects.

**Functional Responsibilities:**

+ Data Analysis

+ Ensure data consistency and reusability

+ Analyze, identify, map, and report data gaps between attributes

+ Develop and support data lineage documentation

+ Ensure software products are built as defined by data requirements

+ Work closely with project managers, architects, modelers, governance teams, solutions developers, test team, business users/Bas, and applicable outside entities (vendors and others) to provide proper data analysis

+ Prepare testing scenarios for data requirements validation

+ Validate that software meets business data needs

+ Document defects after development is completed

+ Provide sign-off on User Acceptance Testing

+ Business Analysis and Project Management

+ Under minimal supervision, oversees medium to large projects and/or phases of projects of larger scope to implement new and/or modified processes, procedures, and/or initiatives

+ Translates business needs into requirements

+ Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

+ Provides input to Functional Requirements Documents and Technical Design Documents

+ Participates and provides feedback in standing meetings scheduled by the project managers

+ Runs project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis

+ Provides updates to business leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of new or revised procedures, processes, and/or initiatives

+ Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met

+ Manages critical relationships with consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership

+ Provides information and/or training to end users to help resolve inquiries related to assigned processes, procedures, and/or initiatives

+ Performs other duties as assigned or required

**Required Qualifications**

+ 7+ years of related work experience

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ In depth understanding of metadata and SPI/API integration concepts

+ Metadata management tools (IMM, Collibra)

+ Prior experience in data analysis and leading large scale projects

**Required Education**

+ Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
