**Job Description:**







**Position Overview**







In this position, the Commodity Management Professional will be part of a 10 person IT Procurement team nationwide within the Global Services Corporate Indirect Material Supply Chain Management Organization who will report to the Director of IT Procurement. This person shall serve as a primary procurement contact between IT department, local management, requisitioners and Supply Chain Management organization.







**Responsibilities**







**** Responsible to support and implement the IT commodity strategies within the Divisions as defined by the regional & global category management organizations







Execute staff augmentation source to contract process







Analyze and coordinate efforts to develop and implement strategic initiatives and programs to drive savings, supply base optimization, cash flow improvement and eAuctions







Negotiate prices, terms and quality requirements with domestic and international suppliers for high-value, technically complex products and services (IT Hardware, Software, Telecommunications and IT Consulting & Services)







Interface with potential suppliers by clearly and professionally communicating Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and work packages







Up front involvement (team member) in all large projects. Actively participates on teams to lead sourcing initiatives for required products and services







Participation in cross functional team meetings







Provide customer service to key customers and end-users by reporting target achievement results in applicable tools/systems on a periodic basis, as well as, interfacing with key support groups to resolve issues







Manage supplier performance through service level agreements and KPIs







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







Bachelor Degree required in Business Administration







5 or more years of experience in a related field from a Sr. Buyer to a commodity manager for indirect materials (Ex: IT software/hardware, managed vendor programs, etc.







Proven knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Procurement Market Analysis (PMA), and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)







Excellent negotiation skills, including experience with large international companies







Experience in intercultural relations or within an international environment







Proven high level customer service orientation, teamwork, quality, and change orientation skills







Strong knowledge of IT, procurement markets, conditions, and processes







Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite







**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







Foreign languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese)







MRP/ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc...) demand planning







Experience in IT negotiations
