**Role Value Proposition:**







MetLife is currently undergoing thru major transformation projects by implementing global platforms to enhance managements use of data and technology in key decision making. The IT Audit Manager will deliver audits for the various business segments within Investments, Treasury, GRM, HR, Tax, Capital Planning, Corporate Compliance and the applications supporting those businesses. This role will provide value added assurance via:







+ Pre- / post- implementation and project assurance reviews for new and common shared platforms;



+ Integrated business process reviews;



+ IT General Controls reviews; and



+ Technical application reviews.







**Key Responsibilities:**







+ Proactively advances integrated auditing concepts and use of technology by identifying application controls to mitigate the business risk associated with critical business processes. Closely follows latest industry trends and adapts them for testing.



+ Directly manages multiple complex audits supporting different business segments and Plan Owners.



+ Delivers high quality audit reports on time and communicates findings to business and IT management; responsible for compiling reports to and leading / participating in discussions with senior management.



+ Recommends solutions to faulty systems and procedures and acts as a trusted advisor consulting throughout the implementation of those solutions.



+ Advances the professional development of junior resources.



+ Advancing the Internal Audits Vision of Auditor 2020







**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**







**Required:**







+ 5-8 years relevant experience. BA/BS or equivalent. Related certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA, PMP, CISSP).



+ Intermediate-level understanding of IT application control concepts (application processing controls, system reconciliations, interfaces, reports testing, workflows); proficient understanding of project/system development lifecycle methodology, and experience auditing cloud hosted applications.



+ Possesses strong project management and interpersonal skills, makes sound decisions, exhibiting initiative and intuitive thinking.



+ Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills, including listening and interviewing skills. Consulted often by others for advice and opinions and recognized as a leadership role model.



+ Proficient understanding of COBIT principles, Generally Accepted Audit Standards, IIA standards, accounting and auditing sampling and testing methodologies, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, risk management, and SEC and statutory reporting; also intermediate-level understanding of the insurance industry.



+ Strong knowledge of Investments and Treasury applications and business processes







**Preferred:**







+ The ideal candidate will have skills that can be aligned to the Auditor of 2020 strategy. This means the auditor understands the business, but also has the data analytics/technical and soft skills needed to be a well-rounded auditor. Auditing with data analysis tools such as ACL, tableau; knowledge of risk-based analytics of business finances and operations, and data sources that drive the analytics.







+ Demonstrates experience with managing teams and managing integrated internal audit and assurance delivery within a matrix reporting environment.
