**Job Description:**







Infrastructure Architect- PLM







Act as part of a Professional Services team, work productively with







other team members in supporting all of Education Services







infrastructure and software training needs.







This group works directly for Joe Condon, (Director of Education







Services) to make sure that all Classroom Environments and Onsite







Events are setup with the appropriate infrastructure and software







required to deliver training.







This person will work to make sure all classroom environment







requirements are met before a class is to take place. This could be an







onsite event being held at customer location, Siemens PLM training







center event, or Amazon Cloud event.







This person will need to help in the development of better business







processes to help grow business and reduce cost within Education







Services







Some specific job tasks include:







o Imaging classroom machines using Acronis Snap Deploy 5







o Writing scripts to help automate daily processes







o Build and manipulate Virtual Machines using VMWare Player or VMWare







Workstation







o Understand and maintain Isolated Network used for Education Services







o Help Support PLM World yearly event







o Help support Instructors on a daily basis regarding issues with the







classroom, work laptops, and any Siemens Software installations.







o Help build Classroom images with required software and applications







to support our classes







Required Skills







5 plus years supporting MS Windows based servers and workstations in both a physical and virtual environment







5 plus years in configuring, setting up, and maintaining computer systems in a training environment







Minimal Travel







Preferred







BS or higher in Engineering or IT field







Installing Siemens PLM products (NX, Teamcenter, etc.), installing supporting (third party software (Oracle, Java, MS Office, etc.), network and computer infrastructure, debugging configuration issues, debugging hardware issues, trouble shooting skills, root cause problem solving, self-motivating, team player, follows/takes directions well.

Virtual Machines VMware Workstation, ESXi







Scripting Batch and/or PowerShell
