**Job Description:**







**Position Overview**







The Maintenance engineer provides maintenance planning, analysis and support related to complex production equipment including weld equipment, industrial controllers and finishing booths to maintain operation and minimize costs. You willlead improvement projects and process improvements designed to enhance efficiencies, cost control and increased customer satisfaction.







**Responsibilities**







+ Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for complex industrial equipment.



+ Manage CMMS.



+ Develop preventative maintenance plans for current and future machinery.



+ Act as liason to resident industrial engineering department to build spare parts inventory, standard work instructions, and troubleshooting action plans.



+ Work with Operations Services manager to develop training, manning, and future planning for maintenance operations.



+ Research, recommend, and familiarize outside vendor support for machines requiring support beyond internal capabilities.



+ Act as lead trouble shooter for issues involving programming and complex issues beyond those capabilities of internal maintenance technicians.



+ Improve current standard work instructions.



+ Assist in planning and data collection for usage monitoring, preventative maintenance scheduling, and advising on cost to maintain vice cost to replace.







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







+ 5+ years equivalent combination of technical education and experience.Required technical experience (including number of years)



+ Bachelors degree in engineering required.

**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







+ Prefer 3+ years industrial experience



+ Prefer dual degree in electrical and mechanical engineering



+ Prefer prior maintenance experience in automotive or other factory environment utilizing specialized and heavy industrial equipment.
