Who we want:

The Human Capital Specialist is a self-directed and innovative individual who implements core HC responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, compensation, recruitment, and onboarding. You perform day-to-day HC operations with an eye for detail and efficiency. As a strong problem-solver and implementer, you will assist the Human Capital team in driving UWATXs overall talent management strategy with the goal of attracting, developing and retaining the staff required to achieve organizational goals. You will provide operational HC support around the effective design and delivery of processes including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, compliance and record keeping.

  • Detail oriented and organized. Youre committed to ensuring a high degree of organization and consistency in all day-to-day HC operations. You guarantee all tasks related to benefits administration and personnel documentation are executed with a high degree of attention to detail.

  • A Quick Study. You have an ability to learn quickly and multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment. Youre also proficient in analyzing data/metrics and using them to plan and improve.

  • Technologically Savvy. Youre competent in the use of technology and can learn HR systems quickly.

What youll bring:

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field is required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.

  • 4 - 5 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.

  • Solid HR knowledge base in the areas of recruitment and onboarding, benefits and compensation, HR law and compliance.

  • A high degree of initiative to understand new regulations, best practices, and drive projects to completion.

  • A strong ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.

  • Excellent planning and organizing skills with an ability to effectively prioritize, plan work activities, use time efficiently.

  • Superior degree of emotional intelligence and ability to interact with and support employees and managers on a variety of HR and management needs.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance is required.

  • Access to reliable transportation is required.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced work environment
