**Job Description:**







Siemens is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner in Raleigh, NC (or Wendell, NC) who will support various client groups in the Energy Management Division in Siemens U.S.







As a trusted partner to and a member of the local senior leadership team, this individual brings deep insight, an independent viewpoint and HR expertise to business issues. The HR Business Partner will consult with and influence senior leaders to take actions on emerging people related topics. Translates business requirements into human capital imperatives and utilizes the full value chain of HR to derive relevant HR solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business. Plays a key role in orchestrating and facilitating changes to organizational culture, design and structure. This individual will report and work closely with the Business Unit leaders for various business units within Energy Management. Business Units include areas of Medium Voltage, Digital Grid, Transmission, Transformers and Customer Support. The individual will be located in our Raleigh and/or Wendell offices in North Carolina.







Responsibilities







Understand business and its strategy, be an active part of the decision making process across all facets of the organizational unit (sales, service, support functions, etc)



Understand the external world and its implications on the business and people strategy (industries, markets, customers, HR, people practices etc.) bring the outside in



Provide the local perspective of business needs and requirements to HR at all levels



Support five business units and its respective business unit leaders



Participate in Labor Relations and Negotiations as assigned and required



Support hourly manufacturing employees (union and no-union) across remote sites.



Ensure implementation of Global and/or National HR Strategy in alignment with local needs



Collaborate with HR Business Partners to ensure alignment between global business / people strategy and local people strategy and related HR initiatives



Develop and communicate the local People Strategy and translate it into HR goals and actions



Lead or contribute to the implementation of HR programs and initiatives for assigned countries / units



Partner with leadership teams at relevant levels to drive performance and build organizational capability



Coach and enable executives to be more effective leaders



Identify needs for change management and champion related activities



Drive discussions related to workforce and organization design changes and provide recommendations



Partnering with business leaders to actively analyze and drive cultural change in line with business strategy



Enable local business to develop a diverse, robust talent pipeline



Guide the business on the appropriate HR programs, processes, and policies based on the business environment / strategy



Orchestrate and connect business with experts across the HR value chain to develop new or leverage existing solutions



Responsible for or contributing to HR activities in country during M&A projects and partnering with required parties, including a key account manager for Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures



Will advise managers on implementing organizational changes (incl. RIFs)



Supports Talent Management, Development and Identification through the process implemented by People & Leadership.



Support and participate interviewing for Senior Management and Key Critical Roles



Will review Engagement Survey Results with Division/BU Heads and provide guidance on necessary action items



Keep an overall pulse of the organization







Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience







Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development a plus.



Minimum of 8 years of human resources generalist experience demonstrating a working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including employee relations, labor relations, performance management, and management consultation.



PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.



The ability to be flexible, self-directed, motivated and able to interact with employees at all levels.



Strong oral and written communication.



Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.



Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines in an ever changing fast-paced environment.



Ability to successful drive change in the organization



Must possess above average proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)



Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.



Proven ability to research and analyze information



Ability to use data and information to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standard, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law.



The proven ability to demonstrate leadership skills, professionalism and team attitude.



Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.



Prior experience working in a matrixed environment a plus.



There will be between 15% to 25% travel associated with this position.
