**Role Value Proposition:**

Global Employee Benefits (GEB) is responsible for leveraging and coordinating MetLifes global presence and capabilities in approximately 40 countries to drive worldwide growth in the Employee Benefits, Pensions and Credit product lines, as well as to maximize MetLifes relationships with key corporate customers.

This position reports into the GEB Finance team and will have responsibilities supporting the MetLife Worldwide Benefits (MWB) business within GEB, as well as working with the regional GEB teams to understand financial drivers. Primary responsibilities include ownership of the monthly MWB sales and P&L projections, regional financial reporting & analytics by product and country, facilitating managements review of the annual operating plans, expense management, and ad-hoc financial deliverables and presentations for GEBs business leaders. The individual will need to cultivate relationships with various members of the GEB Finance team, GEBs business leaders and our country/regional Finance partners.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Lead the monthly projection and annual planning process for MWB P&L, including modeling & analytics. Provide quantitative & qualitative analysis of financial results.

+ Participate in monthly accounting close calls; summarize actual vs. projection and vs. plan variances.

+ Prepare sales & persistency reports and calculation of Incentive Comp payments for MWB Sales Executives and Account Managers. Automate reports and dashboards in SalesForce.com when possible.

+ Support GEBs expense management process to ensure at or below budget results. Review monthly expenses by GEB department, provide explanations for significant variances and prepare presentations for GEB department heads.

**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**

+ Skilled in problem solving, process-building/re-engineering and innovation.

+ Strong relationship building and verbal & written communication skills.

+ Support the monthly projection reporting & analytics for regional GEB P&Ls, including preparing walks, highlighting key variances, documenting explanations and producing analytic outputs.

+ Execute on all ad-hoc financial deliverables or presentations including GEB SLT meetings, quarterly DBRs, state filings for MWB and other items as necessary.


+ 5+ yrs. financial experience in a public or private company environment; 5+ yrs. of experience applying or providing complex technical knowledge and advice on finance applications and/or systems; insurance industry experience preferred.

+ Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial/reporting systems such as Hyperion Planning and SalesForce.com required.

+ Solid analytical and organizational skills.


+ Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field; MBA, CPA, CFA or other advanced degree desirable.

+ Ability to perform Macros in Excel is preferred


Must be willing and able to travel to Wilmington, DE on occasion
