**Job Description:**







Customer Service Engineer Level II-IV specializing in servicing XP & AX equipment needed in the Cleveland, OH service region. The Customer Service Engineer is a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens imaging equipment at customer sites. Our CSE's represent the "Face of Siemens" to the customer. The Customer Service Engineer reports to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions. Responsibilities: Our Customer Service Engineer will perform service, preventative maintenance and modifications on AX & XP equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: Minimum high school diploma Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment Strong electronics and computer background needed Previous experience with the following required: AX & XP equipment 5-8 years of field service experience is needed Strong customer service and communication skills Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment Valid driver's license and good driving record required Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting Willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate, including willingness to work overtime as required Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography; willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and experience: Technical Associates degree or equivalent experience General Requirements: Job Family Responsibilities: Performs complex equipment installation, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls. Performs complex product and service training to customers. Performs complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc., and completes documents of all installations, inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures. Performs complex service or systems calls and interfaces with customer personnel to provide quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution. Performs assessment of complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements. May participate in the negotiation and administration of service or systems contracts. Education: Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required. Knowledge and Experience: Successfully demonstrates thorough/ advanced knowledge of a technical or specialty area.Generally, 5-8 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Direction of Others: May provide general guidance to others and train lower level employees. Key Working Relationships: Frequent inter-organizational and external contacts.
