**Job Description:**

**Position Overview**

Responsible for installation, service and programming of Fire Life Safety Systems. Position supports customers in the Chicago and Milwaukee markets and reports to the Fire Safety and Security Service Operations Manager.


+ Assists in responding to service requests (emergency and on-site)

+ Provides needed assistance with troubleshooting techniques and performs repairs as directed.

+ Responsible for the execution of service schedules including routine servicing and inspections.

+ Up sell to successfully executed service projects and requests while exceeding customers expectations.

+ Completes service work orders with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop and company provided smartphone.

+ Maintain professional and timely communication with customers to assure problem resolution.

+ Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.

+ Monitor and assure the progress and completion of tasks.

+ Complete and submit all required task-related activity, productivity and other communication in a timely manner.

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ A.S. degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent experience in the installation and maintenance of low voltage electronic systems.

+ 5+ years in the installation and maintenance of Fire Safety Products.

+ NICET Level II Fire Alarm Certification (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology).

+ OSHA 10-hour training (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) preferred

+ Strong customer service skills.

+ Good verbal and written communications skills.

+ Skilled in the PC applications and in the use of word processing and spreadsheet programs.

+ Ability to lift seventy-five (75) pounds unassisted.

+ Individual must possess a valid Drivers license in good standing

+ Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
