**Role Value Proposition:**







Excellent opportunity to provide executive support to the Executive Vice President, Chief Communications Officer and Senior Vice President of External Communications. The Global Communications functions as a business partner to drive the global communications strategy for the company and ensure message consistency. The **Global Communications leadership** team is responsible for developing the communication strategy and executing communication tactics focused on internal and external audiences for the Americas, Asia, EMEA, Global Employee Benefits and as well as the Corporate Functions. As part of this responsibility, the organization partners with MetLife's Executive Group members to develop strategic communications. An Enterprise team provides day-to-day support for all corporate functions and maintains key communication vehicles such as the intranet, email distributions, leadership meetings, and relationships with strategic business and financial news media.







**Key Responsibilities:**







+ _Phone coverage:_ Answering calls on behalf of the EVP and SVP. Phones must be covered at all times during work hours; Responsible for detailed notetaking and highly professional responses to internal and external requests.



+ _Calendar management:_ Schedule all logistics for meetings: conference rooms, conference calls, organize meeting materials, catering, etc.



+ _Travel management:_ Schedule international and domestic travel on an annual basis; Book hotel, airfare, train fare and car service; Create travel folders with detailed itineraries and update calendars with detailed information on all travel with respective contact information.



+ _Meeting preparation:_ Edit PowerPoint presentations and Word documents; Update calendar invites with meeting materials; Prepare customized binders for QFS, Earnings and Outlook binders; Schedule town halls and coordinate prep meetings; Ensure managers adhere to their busy schedules and are set up for success on a daily basis.



+ _Expense reporting:_ Research transactions, resolve incorrect charges and track payments.



+ _Project management:_ Transcribe speeches and panels (conducted several times throughout the year) and department moves; Order supplies and manage copy room inventory for the communications division and other business partners on the floor; Maintain attendance records, org charts, distribution lists and Outlook contacts.



+ _Event Planning:_ manage all aspects of scheduling, coordinating, collaborating events (ie. quarterly divisional events, and industry training events)



+ _Vendor management:_ Research contracts, create POs, manage CEARs, SOWs, and approve/decline Ariba invoices; Follow up with vendors on outstanding Ariba invoicing and research outstanding payments to vendors.







**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**







Required:







+ 10+ years of executive assistant experience supporting C-suite/senior executive level personnel.



+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



+ Executive presence and confidence; Strong ability to interact with the Executive Group and their respective staff



+ Proven experience handing highly confidential information and using discretion; Attention to detail



+ Proactive and intuitive; Identify and implement improvements that will make the EVP and SVP days easier



+ Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities on a daily basis.



+ Team player; ability to build relationships across Global Communications



+ Proficient with MS Office suite
