**Job Description:**







Position Overview



The Electronic Department of Low Voltage Division is seeking for a self-motivated mechanical engineer to join its mechanical group. The primary role for the position is to generate new designs of upcoming products, verify them and to implement them into production. A secondary role for the position is to perform support to existing production when issues arise. The mechanical engineer will provide valuable analytic skills and creative thinking to the existing team.



Seeking a mechanical engineer to join a team to develop new circuit protection/detection devices.







Responsibilities



- Develop and verify the design of a variety of complex products, processes, and components that are related to the field of mechanical engineering. Analyze inputs such as design concepts, complex drawings and specifications prepared by technical support personnel. Work with engineers from other disciplines to ensure quality and success of final products.



- Coordinate group efforts to develop and execute test plans. Interpret and evaluate test data and results of investigation and develop appropriate reports and recommendations.



- Timely solve problems in product development and in mass production. Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach, and organize means to achieve the solution to problems.



- Coordinate with manufacturing and other engineering support to arrange for experimental runs or for the construction of experimental models and special test equipment.



- Ensure smooth production startup of new product and follow up for continuous production improvements.



- Work with regulations for product qualification and listing







Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:



1. Bachelor or above in Mechanical Engineering or related field.



2. 0-5 years of experiences in product development.



3. Thorough knowledge on a broad range of mechanical engineering topics. Examples include stress analysis, thermal analysis, part design, material selection, common manufacturing processes and so on.



4. Capability of using at least one of the common computer aided design software, for example Pro-E and Autocad.



5. Good hands-on skills, capable of making quick prototypes.



6. Display a high level of critical thinking and problem solving in bringing successful resolution to complex problems.



7. Good communication and presentation skills. Capable of writing formal technical reports.



8. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.



9. Ability of work in cross-functional teams with colleagues from different backgrounds.







Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience



1. Understanding in circuit protection devices



2. Experience in numerical simulations
