*Job Location - High Ridge, MO*
*Position Summary -*Responsible for technical activities and completion of assigned tasks on time and budget. Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems. Uses computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis/documentation software in the performance of assignments. Ability to work independently while also providing technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel

*Primary Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned task on time and budget

* Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems

* May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments

* Ability to work independently, regular reporting of progress and status

* Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them

* Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments

* Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services

* Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements

* Develop prototypes to retire key development risks

* Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required

* Participate in preparation of proposals

* Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel

* Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

*Secondary Responsibilities:*
* Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings

* Provide technical support for production operations as required

* Help lead growth in electrical engineering designs and capabilities

*Qualifications: *
* Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field and a minimum of 2 years of experience

* Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge. See Specialties below.

* Competent using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

*Specialties include:*
*_Electrical:_* Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of various electrical and electronic systems. May include Hardware, Power Engineering, Power Electronic Engineering, Electromagnetic Engineering, Integrated Circuit Engineering, Components or others. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions in existing products or systems and makes modifications as needed. Compiles and evaluates design and test data. Develops documentation, drawings, manuals, provisioning, safety, or others as needed. Analyzes, develops and recommends design approaches. Experience in design of HVAC control systems is a plus. Experience in design and testing for EMI/EMC in compliance with MIL-STD-461 is a plus. Experience with AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical is desired. Experience with PTC Creo is a plus.

*_Software:_* Involved with the design, development, analysis, testing and debugging of computer software applications and/or systems. May include Signal Processing, Real-time, Firmware, Operator/Machine Interface, or others. Determines hardware needs, interfaces, and compatibility. Completes documentation and procedures for installation, maintenance, and operation. Interacts with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Develops points lists, and control algorithms. Experience with Ladder Logic and PLCs is a plus.

*_Systems:_* Involved with the analysis, design, development and implementation of new and/or existing systems/sub-systems. Determines system specifications and flow down of requirements to components. Supports acquisition of hardware and software (or subcontractor services as needed).
