(AEL) is a well-respected engineering consulting firm with a history of competence and professionalism.  Our services cover all principle engineering disciplines including Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Controls, Chemical and Materials Science.  We have been providing technical services to both the legal and non-legal community since 1983.  

Our staff of 35 full time professionals conducts intriguing investigations that involve site inspections, laboratory examinations, testing and research to opine upon the root cause of failures and losses.  AEL has on-site testing, research and fabrication facilities to support our projects.  Our engineers enjoy the flexibility of working both remotely and from our 35,000 square foot corporate facility in Edison, NJ.

We are currently seeking a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer to fill a unique and gratifying position.  We offer flexible work hours, the full support of our dedicated office staff and excellent salary and benefits.  We seek an individual who possesses strong verbal, technical and writing skills and who has a desire to be rewarded based on performance and merit.   • Determine root cause of failures relating to power distribution, electrical fires, equipment and accidents
  • Conduct field inspections
  • Perform testing and examination of evidence from fire scenes
  • Interface with industry and professional clients
  • Present technical conclusions in legal setting
  • Experience with power distribution, controls or low voltage systems
  • Knowledge of NEC
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary
  • P.E. License required
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering required
  • Minimum 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience


Telecommuting is allowed.
