**Role Value Proposition:**







The Director, Marketing Capabilities will manage a portfolio of platforms that support a breadth of activities across the marketing organization as well as drive connectivity with the distribution teams. Individual will be focused on identifying and delivering operational efficiencies across the Marketing organization. This position will provide ongoing strategic guidance to the brand management, product marketing and target advisor engagement to provide holistic end-to-end processes, increase visibility on customers and maximize relevant touch points. Individual in this role will need to drive results often through other teams to support overall marketing initiatives.







Key aspects of considerations are:







+ BI integration and dashboard implementations: enable data-driven capabilities for the marketing organization by bringing data closer to the user through a BI (e.g. Qlik)



+ Marketing Data Warehouse : deliver and manage a cloud based data warehouse platform to drive new business insights through integration with BI and downstream advanced analytics applications



+ CRM Platform: development and maintain the CRM platform (e.g. Salesforce.com) that drive efficiency and visibility for the organization; continuously improve connectivity between marketing and distribution to increase advisor experience and lead conversion



+ Marketing Automation: create and drive strategy for marketing automation capabilities, including tight integration between CRM and Marketing Automation platforms (e.g. Exact Target)



+ Project Management: support development of project management and workflow tool for the marketing organization (e.g. WorkFront)



+ Special projects: lead or support technical roles on special initiatives (e.g. partnering with distribution on CRM, robo wholesaling, etc.)







**Key Responsibilities:**







+ Partner with various teams to analyze current processes, define requirements, interfaces, data feeds and implementation approaches in order to propose viable end to end solutions.



+ Influence systems and database architecture, design and implementation across adjacent teams and business partners.



+ Ability to translate business need to technical implications, partnering with IT on available solutions internally & externally



+ Partners with campaign managers as well as data analysts and digital execution teams to understand technology needs on campaign delivery and metrics tracking



+ Process re-engineering, especially with a lens on technology that drives collaboration, visibility, tracking and quality.



+ Provide recommendations on CRM, leads management, prospecting and other cross-business unit integration opportunities



+ Serve as an SME resource on process, systems and data across the organization.



+ Individual in this role will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment that is continuing to evolve. He/She will need the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects across the portfolio of needs across the marketing organization. Individual must also be open to continuous learning and adopting new technologies, have a strong technical background as well as work effectively in high-energy, cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively.



+ Manages a team of 3 4 individuals







**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**







+ Bachelors degree or equivalent experience







+ Experience understanding different capabilities/systems



+ 8 - 10 years of experience working on marketing, database, operational improvement projects.



+ Experience in establishing application and integration roadmaps and standards in partnership with IT and other business partners to ensure alignment of technology to overall business technology strategy.



+ Comprehensive knowledge on end to end design and architecture for data warehouse and BI applications including data feed specifications, data modeling, and schema design.



+ Deep understanding of CRM systems and experience in implementations and operational management.



+ Solid understanding of conceptual, logical and physical system modeling and dimensional data modeling.



+ Strong hands on experience with SQL, OLAP and BI platforms e.g. MicroStrategy, QlikView.



+ Strong experience with data warehousing features, partitioning, indexing, star transformation.



+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field.



+ Experience in process improvement and change management



+ Experience with MS SQL Server, IBM DB2, Amazon AWS, MS Azure, Salesforce.com, ExactTarget, QlikSense, MicroStrategy.



+ History of working with large complex databases and enterprise system architecture



+ Experience/knowledge in Financial Services



+ Excellent communication skills- written and verbal



+ Ability to present to and manage senior leadership
