Position Description: Outbound sales representative

A leading provider of revenue cycle management services for healthcare providers (physician practices and hospital groups) is looking to hire, on a temporary to permanent basis, an experienced outbound sales representative to generate leads by contacting prospective clients. Using a list of criteria, and pre-written scripts, the representative will make the first contact to administrator or physicians who are responsible for the decision to outsource and selection of providers of specialized billing services.

Reporting to the client services lead, the representative will make the first contact, with the objective of securing a follow-up phone call or appointment with a decision maker. He/she will be responsible for keeping detailed records of their sales leads, and managing any follow-up.

Required skills

• Demonstrated ability to set qualified appointments for sales follow up for business services companies
• Superior communication skills
• Ability to quickly master sufficient understanding of ourservices and markets to be perceived as knowledgeable
• Tenacious but likeable; ability to effectively turn a rejection into a sales opportunity without being annoying
• Persuasive and personable
• Ability to apply advanced sales techniques as appropriate
• Self-managing; able to work with limited supervision
• Detail-oriented; keeps comprehensive logs and follows up responsibly
• Creative; able to identify opportunities to develop new marketing approaches

Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in direct sales for business services
• Healthcare industry experience preferred

Education

Degree preferred but previous experience critical
