Examples of Work: Prepares salads; cuts desserts; makes tea, jello, and sandwiches; and fills salt and peppershakers prior to mealtime.Washes, chops, and cuts vegetables; opens cans and assists food preparation specialists in preparing foods prior to cooking.Measures and assembles ingredients.Washes dishes and pots.Performs duties that involve the cleaning and sanitation of the food service area.Prepares trays and special formulas for special diets.Gathers materials necessary for dough making.Assists in mixing, kneading, and preparing breads, rolls, biscuits, cakes, etc.
