Job Title: Physical Therapist Lead, Full-Time, Days, Jim Thorpe Rehab, INTEGRIS HEALTH-Edmond - (Job Number: 671652) Job Number: 671652 Description Rehab Therapist Lead Job Code: 1483 Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Lead Therapist assumes responsibility for the ethical and cost effective management, delivery, outcomes and communication of patient care within the scope of practice of respective discipline. Essential Functions: The Rehabilitation Lead Therapist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Functions in the capacity of the Staff Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist in the daily provision of patient treatment, coordination of treatment with other disciplines, completion of required documentation of services delivered, communicating daily patient activity and charges for data processing * Directs employee performance of a team of therapists, therapy assistants, rehab techs, and/or admission access coordinators in the absence of the Rehab Clinical Manager and/or Director. * Implements staffing schedule and responds to daily staffing of department or clinic needs. * Coordinates quality management activities for the therapy activities including quarterly QA projects. * Provides staff orientation, mentoring, and training to new department employees. * Coordinates and reports on customer satisfaction projects and activities. * Completes performance appraisals of department employees in the absence of the Rehab Clinical Manager and/or Director. * Initiates corrective action, as needed, to department employees up to, and including, written warnings in the absence of the Rehab Clinical Manager and/or Director. Accountability: The Rehabilitation Lead Therapist reports to the Rehabilitation Clinical Manager and/or Director. Required Physical Demands: Keyboarding/Dexterity: Occasionally; activity exists up to 1/3 of the time Standing/Walking: Constantly; activity exits up to 2/3 of the time Strength (Lift/Carry/Push/Pull): Medium (Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects) Talking (Must be able to effectively communicate verbally): Yes Seeing: Yes Hearing: Yes Color Acuity (Must be able to distinguish and identify colors): Yes This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Environmental Conditions: Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposures to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, mechanical and electrical equipment, variety of chemicals, and sharp equipment (debridement, splinting and kitchen equipment). Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and cumulative stress. Potential for incidents of workplace violence (agitated, confused, combative patients, or angry family members). Must follow universal safety precautions. Frequent exposure to hydrocollator. Moderate to frequent exposure to oven, stove, microwave, and heat gun depending on venue of care. May be exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals. Must cope with high caseloads and multiple demands. May be required to be on call status, work weekends, or flex schedules. Qualifications:* License from an accredited program in an allied health field of rehabilitation; OR * License or eligible for license by the Oklahoma board of examiners of psychology as a psychologist; OR * Oklahoma Social Worker license * 5 years experience or 3 years experience and 2 exceeds performance reviews * Current CPR Certification * Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
