Customer Success Manager

The Customer Success Manager is responsible for owning customer relationships for an existing portfolio of accounts with the intent of developing new business out of those accounts.  The person in this role will be responsible for the full sales cycle for existing accounts from contacting key stakeholders on a frequent basis, following through on setting up demos and finding the need for additional orders, preparing quotations and writing orders.


  • Own overall relationship with assigned clients, which include: Increasing adoption, ensuring retention, and promoting satisfaction.

  • Through relationship building and outbound call contact program, work to identify and/or develop upsell opportunities.  Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base to meet or exceed sales goals.

  • Establish a trusted/strategic advisor relationship with each assigned client and drive continued value of our solutions and services. Develop, prepare, and nurture customers for advocacy.

  • Work with clients to establish critical goals, or other key performance indicators and aid the customer in achieving their goals.

  • Program manage account escalations.

  • Pursue and respond positively to all inquiries, requests, and sales requests to ensure a positive customer interaction.

  • Educate customers on product features and benefits helping stakeholders choose the best overall solution from the SentryOne products for their business.

  • Work with SentryOnes Marketing departments to facilitate campaigns.

  • Works closely with other departments to ensure completion of the sale and/or customization needs.

  • Update customer information and document interactions in CRM database.

  • Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position.

  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.


Ability to Multi Task: Proven ability to manage multiple issues and/or projects successfully bringing them all to resolution in a timely manner.

Problem Solving: Anticipates problems, recognizes and accurately evaluates the signs of a problems and analyzes current procedures for possible improvements.

Customer Service: Listens and responds effectively to customer questions; resolves customer problems to the customers satisfaction. Respects all internal and external customers and uses a team approach when dealing with customers in order to exceeding customer expectations.

Detail Orientation: Thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small. Monitors and checks work or information and plans and organizes time and resources efficiently.


  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and 2+ years experience.

  • 2-4 years of previous sales experience with proven track record in Account Management role.

  • Previous experience working in a commission/bonus role.

  • Confident and assertive approach with the ability to deal with difficult situations.

  • Ability to network and build trust both internally and externally.

  • Ability to navigate and bring clarity to complex situations.
