**Job Location:** Warwick, RI

**Role Value Proposition:**

The Customer Segmentation Analyst will be accountable for building actionable value-based customer segment intelligence to support the acquisition and growth of new business that contributes to the achievement of our top and bottom line goals. This role will provide support to the State Product Management team and other business partners to help streamline decision-making, strategy creation, and tactical execution. The analyst will interact with business stakeholders across many departments to allow for the effective communication and consumption of actionable findings and recommendations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Contributes on a team that builds, evaluates, and communicates actionable value-based customer segment intelligence

+ Employs basic to complex research, data mining, and data analytic methods

+ Produces customer segment revenue and cost reporting

+ Builds business cases and supports the execution and monitoring of action plans

+ Supports development of innovative solutions to business challenges and opportunities through the employment of proven problem solving methods

+ Contributes to the development of new programs, process improvements, and product enhancements

**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**

+ 4+ years financial or actuarial analysis experience and/or education

+ Advanced capability in using Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint

+ Ability to use tools like SAS, SQL, R, VBA would be valuable

+ Desire to learn and utilize new information and tools

+ Strong data mining and data management capabilities

+ Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities utilized in identifying and solving problems

+ Ability to be creative and innovative in decision making and idea creation

+ Ability to build strong business cases using sound business judgment

+ Proven ability to establish and prioritize objectives effectively to drive swiftly towards achievement of desired results

+ Ability to communicate complex ideas and information in an understandable way

+ Proven ability to lead and work effectively within a team across multiple functions

+ Able to effectively consider customer needs and produce positive customer experiences


+ Bachelors degree in related field preferred (Examples: Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Mathematics)
