_Purpose_ _- Responsible for installation, initial testing, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and modification of customer equipment and systems._







_Job Family Specific_ _-Guides on-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a very complex nature. Guides very complex site surveys to develop base or installation design plans. Guides training customers to maintain and adjust very complex equipment. Develops and submits reports covering all job activity. Guides the maintenance of very complex tools, test equipment, calibration items, etc. May develop the planning and estimating of labor categories, rates, material dollar costs, transportation expenses and per diem rates to complete very complex proposals. Guides the review of very complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual guidance throughout_

_Key_ _-Independently performs advanced areas of work for the professional field. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently. Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems._







_Education_ _-BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas._







_Knowledge_ _- Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues._







_Experience_ _- Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable._







_Working_ _-Primarily intra-organizational contacts and external contacts._
