Primary Function

The Warehouse Control Room Operator is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all efforts to assure the RWMS (Ross Warehouse management System) and associated equipment are operational at all times.  This position is also responsible for making sure that the inventory in the warehouse is correct.

Main Responsibilities

-Responsible for making sure automatic equipment is operational at all times

-Complete samples and reworks when requested

-Maintains accurate inventory which is valued at over $500MM

-Coordinates on time shipping of Cambar orders for approximately 50 truckloads per day at approximately $150,000 of value per load to assure that customer orders are met on time.

-Acts as the plant liaison for all communications on the material control systems.

-Keeps Warehouse Management System current at all times

-Writes queries for special needs

-Helps prepare and assist with user training for the systems

-Verifies information between HK and Cambar

-Troubleshoots inventory discrepancies through HK and Cambar

-Assists with validation/VCR (Validation Change requests) details to assure computer system is properly validated and remains validated with any changes made

-Assists with other Material Control projects as determined necessary by department management

-Investigates and communicates software issues to Cambar Coordinator, Division MIS, plant MIS, and software vendors

Minimum Education & Experience

High school diploma/GED required.  Associates degree in business/technical field or equivalent education and experience preferred.

Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals.

Knowledge of finished goods inventory transactions and the RWMS (Ross Warehouse Management System).  Must also have knowledge of material moves, adjustments, and how it affects inventory accuracy. 

Must have a working business knowledge of QA, inventory transactions, Logistics, and Material Control.  Must have good analytical troubleshooting skills and prioritization skills.

Very limited supervision is required.  The incumbent must be able to trouble shoot problems with the system and understand enough to install fixes to the problem without needing direct supervision.

Contact is made with Division Logistics, Division Customer Services, Division and Plant MIS, Inventory Accounting, Plant Logistics, Cambar (the software supplier) and other areas as needed to administer system upkeep.  Therefore, excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
