**Position Overview**

Are **you** ready to work in a startup like environment, responsible for multiple commercial roles (Contract Management, Commodity Management, Category Management, Buyer) managing and negotiating with external suppliers to support creation of new value chains which ensure execution while obtaining the maximum benefit for our customers?

The roles main objectives:

- Develop complex supply chains supporting a range of product from hardware to highly engineered product in order to offer the best value proposition for the customer and company.

- Negotiate Supplier Agreements establishing standard T&Cs, Performance metrics and comparable work scopes.

- Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality

- Interface with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Quality Management, and other cross functional areas in the execution of role.

- Drive year over year Cost Reduction based on internal and market targets.


- Ensures implementation and development of Siemens strategy, initiatives and regulations according to superior strategy.

-Derives innovative material field strategies based on market intelligence, gears Procurement processes towards strategic objectives.

-Initiates, plans, executes and controls the demand pooling and Supplier Management to maximize the contribution to operating profit from materials.

-Delivers results by implementing measures to ensure most value for Siemens within the own responsibility for a Purchasing Volume.

-Drives application of technical levers for sustainable cost and value optimization.

-Drives Supplier Management processes to obtain best suppliers and ensure transparency and early integration.

- Coordinates and manages a virtual/ line management team to achieve optimum conditions and savings through collaborative, targeted activities and to increase profit from global and cross-business or sourcing for one business.

- Defines (Sub) Commodity structure, organization and strategy in alignment with Management; develops and implements material productivity measures to achieve the maximum contribution to the targets.

- Communicates the strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.

- Negotiates frame contracts; defines core assortment; documents frame contracts in relevant Supplier Management IT-systems.

- Forwards systematically all relevant Procurement related project information (e.g. updated contractual conditions, Supplier Management data) to keep all project participants up to date.

- Identifies particular procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through risk and change management.

- Performs Supplier Management, in particular Supplier Development to obtain and develop the best suppliers and to ensure an optimum supply chain."

- Analyses and comments on tenders, contracts and contract related documents and gives proactive advice.

- Supports LoA process and checks compliance with other internal guidelines and / or processes.

- Participates in contract negotiations and in formulation/implementation of negotiation strategy.

- Ensures Project Execution.

- Ensure adherence to internal standards and compliance with external regulations.

- Develops, implements and regularly reviews the claim strategy with regards to customers, sub-suppliers and partners together with project management.

- Captures internal data and prepares presentations and analyses.

- Contributes to standardization of contracts and improvement processes.

- Implements Commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.

- Contributes to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).

- Prepares and conducts negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings.

- Generates, documents and implements savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.

- Executes Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).

- Ensures a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.

- Provides supplier information to the project and conducts project-specific supplier evaluation.

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**


- Bachelors degree (Engineering/ BA or Supply Chain degree preferred)

- APICS/CPM certification preferred, but may be substituted with other formal supply chain degree or certification

**Knowledge/Skills and Experience:**

- 8 + years of work experience in technical Procurement preferred Aerospace or Energy industry

- Technical knowledge of highly engineered product required with expertise of mechanical/electrical components

- Proficient with SAP (MM, PP, IM WM) or similar ERP applications

- Extensive experience in Contract Negotiations, Supplier Section, Supplier Quality, Commodity

- Forecasting, Procurement Methods and tools.

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- Ability to quickly learn new processes, systems and software applications

- Proficient with MS Excel and MS office applications

- Experience successfully influencing, leading and driving collaboration across functions

- Solid written and verbal communication skills

- Basic knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)

- Bi-lingual German and English is a plus

- Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally.
