**Job Description:**







An Information Developer creates new technical publications and edits



existing technical publications including: API guides, usersguides,



implementation/installation guides and all other publications related



to product information release for microservices. Works with developers



to apply technical communications or instructional design



specialization to develop information solutions & assist global



customers to support their learning needs. Solves challenging problems



related to user-assistance and training. Contributes to and uses



audience and task analyses. Applies cross-functional skills to develop



information for a wide range of customer deliverables. Manages



projects. Performs responsibilities with general direction from



manager.







Works with developers to create user-focused content, including online



assistance, API documentation, tutorials, training materials, projects,



workshops, graphics, and multimedia.



Learns the product, conducts research, defines content and scope,



plans, develops, and maintains new and existing information solutions



for end-users, installers, administrators, and implementers of



products.



Uses audience and taskanalyses to plan and create user-assistance



and/or training that is meaningful to the customer work experience.



Assists with conducting task analyses.



Understands and successfully uses xml/json development tools such as



swagger to create end-user products. Comprehends and manages



dependencies and relationships between content objects to create and



maintain information that is reused across multiple deliverables (such



as documentation and courseware), across various types of media (html,



xml, pdf), and across multiple releases and products.



Becomes increasingly competent in many aspects of information



development including product knowledge and application, research, user



studies, information or instructional design, information mapping,



media selection, graphics and multimedia development, content



authoring, content reuse, testing and implementation.



Creates, plans, and develops user-assistance and/or training-specific



information.



Researches new products and/or changes to existing products to



determine the customer impact.



Responsible for researching and implementing automation techniques for



doc generation.



Manages own projects.



Executes process methodology, quality, and standards.



Modifies information products in response to customer feedback and



other assessments.



With guidance, interacts with end-users to learn their needs.







Skilled in technical communication or instructional design, or in a



product-related subject area such as software design and engineering



and/or product lifecycle data management.



Ability to obtain product knowledge at the component, feature, and



system level and learn its application in company products.



Ability to learn and understand technical/engineering concepts.



Works independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.



Effective interview and research skills.



Effectively uses the tools and platforms required by the organization.



Effectively communicates in one-to-one and group situations. Possess



strong interpersonal communication skills.



Experienced working in a fast-paced environment and adapt to constant



change; work in an environment where time for product and information



development is increasingly short.



Assimilates information from various sources and use it to create



quality products.
