Overview / Responsibilities 

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has a career opportunity for a Client Account Manager - Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Sector Lead with a strong track record of business development, client service management and project management with an emphasis on the Transmission and Distribution market.

Key Responsibilities
•Will play a key leadership role in substantially growing the business in the firm, particularly in the Environment and Infrastructure Solutions (E&IS) Business Line, in the Clean Energy Transmission and Distribution market areas.
•Take a leadership role in integrating and expanding the joint business development and project execution efforts of the E&IS, Power Business Lines with respect to impact assessment and project permitting (IAP) work, environmental and biological monitoring on specific projects and in general. 
•Take a leadership role in assessing key markets and developing improved growth strategies and plans in the power market areas in the IAP service area and T&D environmental and biological monitoring and other service areas; Develop and implement improved branding strategies and plans for this practice area
•Serve on client account teams as a senior member to complete active, focused and successful business development and generate significant sales growth with a selected group of key client accounts
•Lead or assist in leading pursuits of major opportunities
•Lead or assist in the preparation of major proposals for key clients
•Participate in selected important projects as principal in charge

Business Development 
•Drive growth through large CAPEX, OPEX, and Environmental Services projects, programs and opportunities
•Leverage Wood relationships for E&IS with existing and new customers in the power generation and transmission and distribution market
•Drive sales opportunities through entire spectrum of Wood E&IS services and champion cross-divisional approach
•Partner with appropriate Sector Leaders and Business Managers to create and sell solutions to key clients

Strategic Thinking
•Identify trends and develop a long-term view of the industry, market and client base
•Anticipate medium and long term client needs and industry dynamics
•Understand how to align business to execute global strategy of Wood across the Clean Energy Sector
•Innovate and enhance E&IS’s Clean Energy Sector, geographic footprint and integrated approach

•Work closely with P&L managers - who own the consulting resources - to deliver profitable, safe and sustainable projects and services for our clients
•Build, grow and develop Best in Class Account Managers and Teams
•Support the development of Practice and Service Line solutions

Person Specification
This leader will be a high integrity executive with a commitment to delivering on promises. She/he will be a strong leader and manager with a strategic mindset. This leader will possess in-depth experience in the Clean Energy Sector with a proven track record as a key contributor to a global leadership team. She/he will be capable of developing tactical and strategic plans and programs designed to achieve business and sales objectives. The individual we seek will: 

•Possess the experience and confidence to build and grow Pipeline & Logistics sales through exceptional client account management
•Currently manage Power related clients 
•Have the ability to build rapport and trust with key clients, business leaders and team members
•Possess at least 15 years’ experience in the Energy sector’s environmental space, with a background in consulting engineering
•Possess strong teambuilding and influencing skills
•Have the good judgment to think sustainably, for the long term in a growing company with critical long-term client relationships
•Be positive, persuasive, open and expert with both internal and external stakeholders
•Possess a collaborative and team oriented attitude, driven by the success of Wood and not merely personal or Sector results

Skills / Qualifications 
•Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering
•25 years + of related experience
•Strong technical and management background including progressively responsible leadership roles in project management, operation management and business development
•Strong, proven client development/management skills, including preparation of fee estimates, proposals and statements of qualifications
•Must possess excellent, clear and concise, verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports
•Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
