**Job Description:**


Siemens offers a comprehensive portfolio of seamlessly integrated software products to support full life-cycle digital design and manufacturing. This position contributes to the development of NX Hybrid Additive Manufacturing, which combines additive metal deposition with traditional machining to create parts using state of the art manufacturing technology.

You will be part of a highly innovative fast-paced development team, validating state of the art solutions that combine traditional 5-axis machining with 5-axis metal deposition (3D printing) on a single system.

You will work closely with other team members to understand customer requirements in multi-axis hybrid additive manufacturing, validate that new solutions being developed meet those requirements, and ensure that all hybrid manufacturing solutions delivered by Siemens fully satisfy the highest quality levels possible. The position reports to the NX CAM Quality Assurance Manager.

Job Description

Understand requirements of new functionality being developed for CAM multi-axis additive and hybrid technologies, and create acceptance test criteria to validate the new functionality will be successful. Work with software developers to ensure their code meets those acceptance criteria, and provide deeper end-to-end workflow testing of new functionality to ensure that it will also meet customer needs in a production environment. Work with product management and other customer success staff to grow in understanding of customer needs in this area, in order to better act as their advocate during development of new functionality. Assist, as needed, in ensuring that existing NX CAM functionality in areas of expertise continue to work as expected. Create and apply new approaches as necessary to improve the productivity and efficiency of testing. Works with minimal supervision on complex projects with latitude for independent judgment. Moderate level of skill with extensive proficiency across multiple product lines.

Required Skills

-4+ years of experience using any CAM software package in a production environment

- Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Skills

- Experience with additive manufacturing / 3D printing technology

- Experience with Microsoft Excel

- Experience with scripting languages, such as perl or python

- Experience with automated NX programs, such as NX journaling or NXOpen programming

- 2 year degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

- Experience using NX CAM software

- Experience with multi-axis CAM software
