**Job Description:**

**Position Overview**

Siemens Industry Inc. is looking for a Buyer to join their team at their facility in Lebanon, OH. The selected candidate will be responsible for : monitoring complex materials through the production cycle; completing and maintaining reports; analyzing supplier capability; make/buy studies and cost analyses; perform research and evaluate and recommend solutions to complex inventory issues. The selected candidate will also be responsible for integrated project plans and schedules for the Lebanon Repair Centers.


+ Process requisitions from SAP to support operational demands. Determine MRP parameters for parts to obtain best pricing and efficient ordering.

+ Procure products by establishing MOQ, safety stock and lead time

+ Proactively work on aging inventory to either offload or optimize the process

+ Review and analyze MRP on a daily bases including order placement status, expediting and analyzing any variance to suggest corrective action as necessary

+ Execute, manage and ensure the delivery of components utilizing discrete purchase orders and alternative supplier replenishment techniques including supplier scheduling

+ Assists in preparing and prioritizing daily and weekly production and work flows

+ Develop daily requirements list ensuring components and raw materials are available to meet schedules

+ Liaise with all departments to satisfy internal and external customer requirements

+ Collaborate across organization and geographies to optimize purchasing processes

+ Place orders for components and packaging materials and ensures all POs, supplier numbers, descriptions, corrections and maintenance is performed in a timely manner

+ Inform supplier of rejections and finalizes settlements with respects to reimbursements and/or replacement of product

+ Generate operational reporting as assigned

+ Identify and resolve complex problems and apply problem solving skills in order to deal with most situations.

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ 5+ years experience in a purchasing, materials or supplier management environment

+ Degree in business, supply chain or related field; or equivalent qualifications/experience Ability to manage the efficient supply of custom design components

+ Skilled user of Microsoft Office applications with focus on Excel

+ Ability to collaborate effectively in virtual/remote environments
