**Job Description:**







**Position Overview**







Siemens Grand Prairie, TX is GROWING and looking for talent for their world class plant. We are looking for Buyers with purchasing, planning and scheduling experience to assist in the







success of their organization. This person will ensure adequate material availability through the use of SAP, sales forecasts, ABC/XYZ analysis and IRLs. In addition, they will also develop and implement master schedules to establish sequence and lead times to meet customer delivery.

**Responsibilities**







- Track, monitor and expedite part shortages







- Participate in maintenance of basic reports







- Analyzes supplier capability & delivery reliability







- Participate in make/buy studies







- Participate in the effectiveness evaluation of current material control standards







- Support planning and coordination of new product introduction or product changes







- Supplier relationship management







- Product life cycle management







- Review and maintain product forecast







- Analyze inventory turns and trends for optimum utilization



- Maintain master data critical to operations







- Resolution of goods receipts transaction discrepancies







- Interfaces with Quality and Engineering departments to resolve quality and rejected material problems







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







1. BS/BA or advanced degree required







2. Minimum 3 - 5 years Purchasing and Planning/scheduling







3. Manufacturing resources planning (MRP)







4. Lean operating principles







5. Strong computer skills, especially Excel







6. Ability to work with & apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and practical solutions







**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







1. SAP Production Planning/Purchasing Module







2. Tactical Purchasing







3. APICS/CPIM Certification







4. Microsoft Access
