**Position Overview**







Are you ready to test your skills and learn about applying software in the dynamic world of medical device manufacturing.







This position is within the engineering organization at a large manufacturing site for medical device consumables. The position is specifically within the Controls and Data Management group, which is responsible for the software systems used by the manufacturing operation. This position will be working on the validation of new software being released and perform updates to the quality control software and upgrades to software to address operating system obsolescence. This position will report to a Manager or Senior Manager in the Controls and Data Management group.







**Responsibilities**







The job will include the development of an understanding of the custom software used by the manufacturing operation. The applicant will be required to learn the validation practices of the site and perform detailed execution, review and correction of software documents relating to validation of the application. The applicant will create new versions of current applications to create versions compatible with new operating system. The objective for the person in this roll is the successful validation of new applications or software upgrades per a project schedule.







Revise or create Visual Basic code



Review software application logic descriptions



Review and revise software application use case documents



Review and revise software application test script documents







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**



Detail oriented in review and execution of documentation



Strong communication skills written and oral



Competent using Microsoft Word Office applications



Software engineer or similar curriculum







**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







Beginner level SQL







Software Validation







Visual Basic







Visual Studio, VB.net
