**Job Description:**

**Position Overview**

Siemens, a world leader in Molecular Imaging, has a position for a co-op or intern. This position supports the mechanical engineering development for SPECT systems. Our interns/co-ops are involved in all aspects of hardware development and generally leave the position with a better understand of product development and broader understanding of engineering. Candidates should be willing and able to work overtime, and have flexible work hours. This may include first or second shift as required to meet the requirements of a specific task.


Students will perform a variety of basic mechanical engineering tasks including: Use of Siemens NX CAD software to update or create drawings, create and test electromechanical assemblies, document testing performed, write reports, use our to archive engineering drawings, and build.

Assist with Defect Handling Board and/or Sustaining Engineering Review Board administrative tasks. Track the field returned mechanical components.

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

Student must be working towards Bachelors degree at a university or college with an accredited engineering discipline.

The preferred degree of study for this candidate is Mechanical Engineering. Prefer students with good mechanical skills and intuition.
