The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will be responsible for technical development, implementation and support of the MetLifes US Business reporting solutions. The BI Analyst loves diving deep into data to provide insights that will help drive revenue growth. The right individual will be a creative thinker who will find new ways to optimize and elevate the information capabilities of the department.







In addition to being technically competent with the full solution development life cycle, the BI Analyst will bring industry-leading analytical and data visualization skills to the team. The ability to consult with business partners to transform the way we deliver and consume information is critical to the success of the organization. The role will interact directly with a broad range of teams, including Sales, Marketing, Claims, Operations, and C-level Executives.







The BI Analyst will thrive in a demanding, fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment. He/she will need to be a self-disciplined and methodical with coding practices, yet be comfortable and agile within iterative and incremental development practices. Ability to take up challenges, adapt to the business needs, and stay focused on delivering results is essential to the success of this role.







**Key Responsibilities:**







+ Performs complex data analysis and trending to provide recommendations to senior management.



+ Consults with business leaders to determine data reporting, analysis, and timing needs for current and future planning.



+ Leverages strategic thinking to build complex, interactive dashboards, scorecards and self-service solutions to satisfy future business demand.



+ Develops and implements reporting deliverables and timeline for each assigned case.



+ Runs complex ad hoc reports on schedule and provides data analysis prior to delivery to senior leadership.



+ Leads project teams that may span the entire organization or multiple LOBs responsible for overseeing improvements to data collection, output, reporting, analysis, and/or presentation.



+ Researches requests and downloads data in order to prepare complex exhibits, summaries, presentations, and/or reports for use by senior leadership.



+ Manipulates data using spreadsheet or database applications taking into account technical knowledge of operations, reporting formats, and objectives of data analysis.



+ Maintains databases, ensures integrity of data, and remains current on applicable business functions and technology tools; investigates and corrects discrepancies.

+ Possess visualization skills leveraging a business intelligence product (ex. Cognos, Qlik)



+ Strong written and verbal communication skills



+ Ability to comprehend complex data and creatively problem solve to drive solutions



+ Strong interpersonal relationship skills while working with multiple individuals and teams







**Required:**







+ 2-5 years of related work experience in data analysis and reporting



+ Previous experience with all stages of BI project work: requirements, logical design, physical design, implementation, testing and deployment.



+ Hands-on experience with BI tools, including Cognos, Qlik and MS SQL development processes like SSIS and stored procedures.



+ Track record of delivering complex, interactive dashboards, scorecards and self-service solutions to meet the changing demands of customers.



+ Organizational and time-management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables at varying stages in a dynamic environment



+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel







**Preferred:**







+ Bachelors Degree in quantitative field



+ Masters Degree in related field of study
