**Job Description:**

**Position Overview**

Siemens is looking for a National Business Development Manager Building Automation to cover the United States. This position will grow the Siemens Solution Partner network (by identifying, qualifying, and signing up new independent building automation product distributors (Value Added Partners). This person will report to the Manager of Business Development and will have no direct reports.

+ In cooperation with the Products Sales team, the person will plan, analyze, and prioritize target markets

+ Working with external sales, marketing and other relevant sources this individual will identify Distributors/Value Added Partners in the U.S. for the Independent Building Automation Distribution Channel

+ Articulates the technology and solutions positioning to both business and technical buyer

+ Assist with on-boarding and supporting a new customer until fully turned over to a Territory Sales Manager.

+ Lead efforts to research and prepare pitches for new prospective distributors/partners

+ In conjunction with Territory Sales Managers and Sales Management, leads sales effortsto position Companys portfolio of products, solutions and services to new prospective customers


+ Creates and follows up on opportunities

+ Maintains accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, meetings and outcomes

+ Lead the process of developing new partner business plans including the setting of reasonable and achievable goals

+ Meets assigned targets for sales, and strategic objectives

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ BS/BA in mechanical, electrical or computer science

+ Self motivated team player with ability to work independently

+ Minimum of 5 years of strategic sales experience in a HVAC or Building Automation System business-to-business sales environment.

+ This position requires extensive travel

+ This position may require the employee to maintain a home based office.

**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

-Experience negotiating contracts a plus

-Experience with Siemens Building Automation Products a plus
