**Why Siemens**

Autonomy and support -- you will be an independent contributor and own your vertical, and well give you the elbow room you need to succeed, assuming you meet your goals. Youll select your targets and decide how to focus your efforts, as long as they are consistent with our overall targets. However, this is not a lone wolf role. Youll have plenty of support and resources, beginning with strong training.

Strong training-- youll come in with an understanding of material handling applications and how they work in our product categories with your recent experience. Well make sure you receive dedicated training on our key products and product families, differentiators vs our competition, our local and national Siemens organization, and on sales processes including value added selling, negotiation, or any other areas where you want to expand your skill.

Market-leading solutions-- you will be able to approach each partner, customer, and prospect knowing you represent the best products and solutions available. Siemens invests billions annually in R&D.

Career development-- as you learn the role youll gain a strong understanding of our sales process. Depending on your aptitude and performance, you might leverage your success in this position to pursue promotion within Sales, such as into a sales engineer role, an account manager role, area management, or even into other areas of Siemens. We have a history of hiring from within whenever possible. If you are open to relocation, the number of available opportunities is very large.

We celebrate invention, not convention-- at Siemens U.S. we are the team working to find answers to the most challenging questions of our time. We strive to create the sustainable systems and solutions that allow businesses to thrive, cities to grow and people to live longer, healthier lives. As part of a global organization of 360,000 employees operating in 190 countries, we are one of the top engineering and integrated technologies companies in the world.

The best of both worlds-- youll enjoy the entrepreneurial energy of our ongoing growth, backed by the stability and resources of Siemens AG, our $88 billion global parent corporation.

Excellent compensation-- in addition to a competitive salary and bonus opportunity, we offer comprehensive benefits including all you would expect plus some pleasant surprises such as an Employee Assistance Program and Financial Planning Program.

**Keys to Success**

Though well provide training on the company and our products, we need someone who is ready to come in and hit the ground running to develop this vertical. Though this is similar to a sales role, youll need a strong basis in engineering, including an understanding of the machinery and the engineering processes, so that you can build credibility and create solutions that will work for the end users.

This is not a quick sale environment. Youll spend a good deal of time building relationships before gaining any contracts, which requires patience and great skill in networking. We also face strong competition, so youll need to spend the time to get to know what were up against and what makes us a better choice. However, once you do break through, it will bring you a great sense of accomplishment. If you have the engineering and industry background, you thrive on meeting challenges head on, and you have the skill and patience to build strong relationships that drive toward mutually beneficial partnerships, then this could be a great role for you.
