**Position Overview**







Are you ready to lead the technical support for immunoassay consumables manufacturing and technical investigations for process improvement?

- This position will serve as a technical lead in the Technical Operations group that provides support for SYVA line of assays for Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Drug of Abuse testing and for assays on multiple assay platforms. This group is responsible for technical support of Operations during production of reagents and finished products.



- It is also heavily involved in technical investigation of supply chain and customer complaint issues associated with multiple clinical assays supplied for OEM customers.



- The group provides technical support during external regulatory audits and leads Operations element teams during transfer of new clinical assays from R&D to Operations.







**Responsibilities**







- Develops the definition of very complex projects, selecting sources and monitoring results.



- Develops very complex processes and technical support to production, marketing, sales, and/or other departments.



- Leads complex projects and develops project organization, definition, planning, implementation and control.



- Develops and guides technical standards, and develops complex technology design theory and procedures.



- Leads cross-functional initiatives to develop very complex specifications reflecting user requirements and business criteria.



- Works with external vendors as needed







- Completes a wide variety of complex technical assignments including but not limited to design change and process change projects, CAPA investigations, urgent production issues.







- Performs complex tests or investigations pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials, or processes and investigates possible application of results.







- Obtains, correlates, and analyzes technical information needed to accomplish complex tasks.







- Completes the preparation of reports, charts, graphs, and other documents and advises senior staff.







- Reviews and approves related inputs such as complex drawings and specifications prepared by technical support personnel.







- A successful candidate will have advanced education and multiple years of experience related to biochemistry, chemistry, clinical chemistry, and/or medical diagnostics.



- Typically 10+ years of successful experience in a directly related field



- Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area and basic knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact.







- Ideal candidate should have knowledge of complex reagent production and immunoassay mechanisms, be a strong problem solver and have good interpersonal skills to drive project closure.







**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.







Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of chemistry and immunoassay through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of antibody, protein, enzyme chemistry. Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues. Typically 10+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
