**Role Value Proposition** : The Assistant Vice President IT Program Management will be responsible for leading the overall Global IT Programs, including consulting to business and IT leaders, ensuring compliance management, project financial and risk management, as well as direct supervision of program managers for key projects.

The role will lead complex, enterprise wide cross-team strategic Business initiatives, including M&A, transition services and end-to-end. It will require an entrepreneurial leader able to gain stakeholder trust and adept at influencing others. The position is responsible for securing resources needed for delivery, escalate issues and anticipate project specific risks to ensure timely and on-budget implementations.

**Key Responsibilities:** The position is the overall IT program manager for Programs including Global Operations Model Office transformational program, Global Insights. This position will have direct responsibility for 6-10 PMO leaders and indirect responsibility for an additional 10 project leaders

+ Provide direct support to executive and senior managers of Enterprise Strategic Business Projects on the MetLife Program and Project Management Frameworks and tools.

+ Provide direct support to executive and senior managers of Enterprise Strategic Business Projects on the MetLife Program and Project Management Frameworks and tools.

+ Work with the Executive Sponsor and Business lead to define the project scope and translate into defined Business Objectives and Program Goals.

+ Manage multiple Enterprise Strategic Business Programs with oversight over the program and project teams

+ Ensure appropriate financial & reporting processes in place that provide the right level of transparency to program team members and stakeholders.

+ Provide senior program management representation at program governance meetings with executive and senior management.

+ Ensure that appropriate support resources are deployed to ensure the successful execution of the Enterprise Strategic Program.

+ Create and maintain a team environment that is built on trust and collaboration and facilitates open communication and transparency.

+ Support the deployment and application of MetLife Enterprise Program and Project Management Frameworks and tools within the LOB work teams.

+ Manage the day- to- day execution of the program governance and reporting processes including timely escalation of program issues and risks.

+ Manage and coach/mentor Strategic Program Managers who support management of Enterprise Strategic Program, Mergers & Acquisitions &/or Divestitures.

+ Sponsor projects focused on continuously improving the Enterprise Program Management Framework, tools and templates.

**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**

+ 10 -15 years business experience, preferably with a mix of financial services industry and vendor experience.

+ Bachelors degree and related field experience required; Advanced degree preferred

+ Must demonstrate specific experience planning and managing a project portfolio of greater than $50M annual spend.

+ Experience working in and leading large matrix managed initiatives.

+ Excels at leading distributed, global teams.

+ Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and partnership with a willingness to proactively coach, facilitate, share knowledge, and be the role model and advocate for a changing organization.

+ Ability to direct multiple teams' activities; ability to direct, motivate and develop project staff in an evolving environment.

+ PMP or PgMP preferred.

+ Experience with large scale M&A integrations preferable.

+ Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Ability to travel up to 25%
