**Position Overview**







This position requires expert PLC control system knowledge for troubleshooting complex process equipment used in reagent formulation processes. This is a first shift position, which also requires supporting technical issues which may occur during off shift/weekend operations.







**Responsibilities**







+ Must be capable of troubleshooting complex automated process equipment and control systems.



+ Have a strong understanding or PLC driven control systems and be capable of interpreting ladder logic programs. This individual must demonstrate leading-edge or extensive knowledge in controls and automation. Generally, 8+ years of successful experience as an electrical controls and automation technician.



+ Experience working with Powerflex drives, ControlNet and DeviceNet components.



+ Capable of supporting hardware/control system upgrades and leading contractor activities.



+ Performing updates to procedures and engineering specific documents.



+ Ability to source technical information when not readily available.



+ This position requires the ability to effectively communicate within the Engineering organization and be able to provide expert level training in the areas of electronic controls and electrical safety.







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







+ MA electrician certification desired.



+ Must be able to follow written procedures and safety practices.



+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.



+ Attention to detail and good documentation practices.



+ Associates degree or vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required.







**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







+ Experience working in Biotech or Pharmaceutical environment.
