**Job Description:**







Siemens

is looking for an Account Manager focused on selling the Factory Automation

Portfolio of products to industrial end users,OEMs, engineering firms, for the

Northern and Central California region of its Industrial Sales Division. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a

strong team selling the best end to end industrial automation solutions in the

market.This individual will

report to the Southwest Area Industrial Sales Manager for the Totally

Integrated Automation Team. The successful candidate will have a strong

background in automation, SCADA systems, PLC and drives, and power distribution

equipment used in Industrial applications. Superior sales skills

including relationship building, account management, strategic planning, and a

must win attitude are required. The Account Manager will also be

responsible to sell services that enhance the value proposition of the

systems.







This individual will be responsible to deliver sales growth with an

assigned account base and geographical territory and to develop and execute

sales strategies for those assigned accounts and territories in coordination

with SiemensEnergy Management Team members and the

power distribution business units. Prior success working within a matrix

organization and across multiple departments to win large, complex power

projects is a plus.







The

candidate will need to effectively sell at several levels within a customers

organization including engineering, process control, and purchasing, as well as

at all levels of a customer organization - operations, maintenance, plant

management, and corporate executives.







**JobFamily Responsibilities:**







+ This is a quota based sales role inwhich the successful candidate will have a proven record of achievingspecified business objectives at key accounts.



+ Leverages Siemens global reach toinfluence decisions on projects for delivery to the customer in the US, orpurchased by the customer in the US.



+ Guides the development and execution ofstrategic account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals.



+ Develops / builds / cultivates long-termrelationships with key management within the customer organization.



+ Will be responsible for forming accountteams and coordinating team activities while maximizing sales and internalcollaboration.



+ May lead team reviews and updates ofaccount plan based on changing market, customer conditions, andcompetitive activity.



+ Performs client presentationsarticulating the value proposition of product / solution / serviceofferings.



+ Possesses a level of product knowledgethat serves as a basis for guiding customer planning and budgeting on bothproduct and electrical system sales.



+ Focused on account strategies thatassure continued customer loyalty.



+ Develops sponsorship with key decision-makerswithin customer organization.



+ Collaborate with local distributors andsolution partners to develop mutually benefical sales strategies.







**KeyResponsibilities:**







+ The topcandidate will exceed sales revenue goals by effectively executing on keystrategies and activities for assigned accounts and geographies.



+ Drive top line sales growth for assignedaccounts and geographies



+ Proactively addresses potential problemsand provides effective solutions in relation to application of concepts,techniques, knowledge, or processes.



+ Collaboration and communication withother Siemens sales teams is a must, therefore a proven track record ofworking in a matrix management environment is required.



+ Displays a high level of criticalthinking to bring successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/orcross-functional problems.



+ Requires strong analytical skills tointerpret and forecast changes in customers' buying patterns and productrequirements.



+ Requires broad knowledge of Companyproducts and proven experience in developing business plans and salesstrategies that will influence customers towards a Siemens buyingsolution.



+ Desire to grow and openness to new ideaswithin a vertical market focused approach.



+ Proficiency with the required processesof the Siemens CRM tool to provide transparency of assigned customer data,project opportunities, and activities to all Siemens business units.







**Education:**







+ BS in electrical engineering, IndustrialMarketing, or related discipline, advanced degree encouraged.



+ Equivalent combination of education andexperience in lieu of degree may be considered.







**Knowledgeand Experience:**







+ 5-10 years of industrial electricalautomation industry selling experience is required. Experiencewith PLC, HMI, IPC, controls, drives, RFID, motor control centers,transformers, and energy automation is preferred.



+ Successfully serves as trusted advisorof technical/application/commercial knowledge for automation in theCalifornia market



+ Experience working with client atexecutive and operations levels is required.



+ Electrical Engineering Background aplus.



+ Knowledge ofcustomers and competitors within the defined territory is a plus.



+ Experiencewith OEMs, End Users and channel partners highly desirable
