**Job Description:**







Our Diagnostic Imaging Components and Vacuum Technology (CV) team drives critical support for healthcare equipment manufacturers in their goal to raise the clinical excellence, operational efficiency and financial profitability of healthcare providers. Our global presence and technology expertise in product development and production makes us the partner of choice for Siemens Healthineers imaging and in-vitro diagnostics businesses and external companies. **Position Overview**







Our CV organization is currently looking for an experienced Application Specialist / Systems Architect for our **Flanders, NJ** facility.







The Application Specialist serves as an integral part of the CV team that supports internal Siemens Healthcare Research & Development customers for Medical Electronics. He/she is the technical expert on this team, with primary responsibilities on project acquisition, technical project work and project lifecycle management.







The ideal candidate has a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in analog/digital hardware and medical electronics development, preferably in a healthcare field. Knowledge of German would be a plus. 4-6 weeks of training will be provided to our new hires.







**Responsibilities**







Create system architectures in the field of embedded medical electronics development.







Responsible for end-to-end project lifecycle management, including project acquisition, design-to-cost analysis, technical project work, technology demonstration and production reconciliation.







The evaluation of solution concepts, and if necessary development / testing of prototypes as well as the creation of requirement or development / design documentation is also one of your primary areas of responsibility.







Working alongside our customer project managers, create the requirement engineering for development projects - this includes a precise definition of the scope of work, as well as the risk assessment in the field of electronics development in the medical environment (IEC 60601-1, etc).







Conduct feasibility analysis and studies for these multi-site development projects.







Assist with commissioning and integration, as well as the technical project coordination for all internal customers.







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field







At least 3 years of experience in the development of electrical components. This includes extensive knowledge in the design of electronic systems and their disassembly into hardware / software.







Previous experience in analog / digital design, hardware development, and FPGA firmware and testing







Extensive knowledge in the board design of complex digital assemblies including EMC compliant design







Experience in medical technology and regulations (IEC 60601-1,62304 etc) preferred







Knowledge of German preferred, but not required







Highly-motivated team player with strong customer orientation







Excellent verbal and written communication skills







A creative thinker with strong problem solving and analytical skills
